I’m a policy researcher, specialising in the relationship between technology and society. Since my degree in artificial intelligence and doctorate in science, technology and innovation management, most of my research has involved the social and ethical assessment of controversial emerging and future technologies (including AI, civil drones, blockchain, biofuels, CCS and 3D-bioprinting). I have also developed some theoretical and methodological frameworks to help us to understand technology in society. Some of this work has been published in journal articles, books and reports listed here.

Currently, I work at the European Parliamentary Research Service, delivering bespoke insights to various Committees and Members of the European Parliament, especially the Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA).
